McCann Pediatric Dentistry was started in 1965 by Dr. Billy McCann Sr. and joined by his son Dr. Billy McCann Jr. (Dr. Wes), in 1993. The two practiced together until 1998 when Dr. Billy Sr. sustained a hand injury that led him to focus on teaching at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Billy and Dr. Wes practiced together until 1998 when Dr. Billy experienced an injury to his hand causing him to redirect his energy to a teaching and administrative role at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
Dr. Wes, a lifelong Memphian, graduated from Memphis University School and earned his B.S. in microbiology from Mississippi State University in 1985. He has also received his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and shortly after, an M.S. in pediatric dentistry from Ohio State University.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Wes serves on the dental surgical staff at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American College of Dentists, and has held multiple leadership roles (including President) of the Memphis Dental Society.
Dr. Wes and his wife Marianne have been married since 1985 and are active members of Second Presbyterian Church. They have four sons and seven grandchildren.

Amy
Amy has been part of McCann Pediatric Dentistry since 2007. She is a registered dental assistant who transitioned to the front office in 2013. Amy and her husband, Byron, have two sons, Eli and Austin, and a rescue dog named Zebo. Outside the office, she enjoys watching Georgia football, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Jessi
Jessi has been part of McCann Pediatric Dentistry since 2017 and has worked as a registered dental assistant since 2009. She is engaged to her fiancé Cole, and has two children, Kinsley and Abel. They have four cats: Gus, Fufu, Cyrus, and Roscoe. Jessi and her kids enjoy visiting Shelby Farms, ice skating, and cheering at soccer games.

Jordan
Jordan joined the front office team at McCann Pediatric Dentistry after moving to Memphis in 2025 from Starkville, MS, but is originally from Birmingham, AL. She and her husband, John William, love relaxing at home with their cat, Maggie. Outside the office, Jordan is active in her church, cheers on Mississippi State, runs her photography business, and enjoys working out at Orange Theory.

Kim
Kim joined McCann Pediatric Dentistry in January 2023. She is married and has two children and three grandchildren. Outside the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs, Dodger and Josie.

Lauren
Lauren joined McCann Pediatric Dentistry in the fall of 2025 as part of the Fellows Program with Second Presbyterian Church. Lauren assists in our office with dental instrument preparation and sterilization. Originally from Southern Illinois, she recently graduated from Cedarville University and plans to pursue further opportunities in cancer biology research. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin and rock climbing.

Tori
Tori joined McCann Pediatric Dentistry in July 2022. She grew up in Memphis and met her husband, Matt, in the University of Memphis marching band. They have four daughters: Emma, Ava, Olivia, and Isla, along with two dogs, Bella and Layla. In her free time, Tori enjoys reading, playing the flute, and spending time with her family.
